Memorable Moment Mondays: A Blustery Day

Hey Humble Readers...

I'm more than a little late to this week's MMM party, but I'm here.  :)

Today has been a tad bit challenging, and I've decided to blame it on the fact that it was a very blustery, wet, and icky kind of day.
Just before bedtime tonight.

Have you ever heard about wind driving people insane?  Well, I think that today's blustery-ness got under all our skins... at least me and the wee-lings.

Pip hasn't known what he's wanted all day... bottle? Nope!  Burps?  Nope!  Bouncies?  Nope!  Tummy-time?  Hell no!  Sleeps in the bassinette?  Nope!  Sleeps on the floor?  Nope!  The only thing that seems to have settled him now is crying himself to sleep, with his fingers in his mouth.  Poor wee little man.

Ginny spent the day alternating between extreme nuttiness... running all over, trying to climb in and out of the playpen, and using me as a jungle gym... and that grating kind of whiney-ness that just gets under your skin.  Of course, it didn't help that during her nap this afternoon she decided to strip naked and take her diaper off (something she hasn't done in over a month) and decided to pee all over her her crib.

And I think I'm getting a cold.

***sigh***

Tomorrow will be a better day.  I hope.  :)

  1. Yikes, Mama! We had the same kind of day around here...especially the super-hyper to super-whiny thing. And the nakedness! What is up with the nakedness? PJ would rather be naked than anything else these days. Tomorrow will be better, right? Right??

  2. Oh my goodness, the jungle gym thing! It's driving me crazy! I've spent the day being leaned on, climbed on, stood on, stamped on, laid on, and jumped on. It's physically exhausting! It's only 8:30 and I was planning to work on a bunch of projects tonight (including quiet books!) but I am SO ready to just crawl into bed.

  3. Holy Bad Day Batman! I hope that things ease up, and the wind dies down, and the Mama gets some rest or some valium. LOL. Still, she's very cute, even when she's whining/crying. :)

  4. Wow. You're a much better person than I am. I have always believed that being a mother was the most difficult and yet rewarding JOB a person could ever perform. Your post firmly fortifies my belief. I hope your day goes much smoother tomorrow. Cheers.

  5. Oh man! I feel you there. Although, I don't also have a wee babe complicating matters! I wonder what it is about windy days that makes the little people CRAZY?

Hobbits are social creatures, and love hearing from friends old and new. Pull up a comfy chair and let's get to know one another.
