May 10, 2012 - 38 wks, planned c-section, Pippin born @ 11:17am. 7lb 13oz, 19in
May 8, 2012 - 38 wks, NST & Dr. W, Halfling's heartrate between 140-160, bp was very good
April 30, 2012 - 37 wks, NST & Dr. W, Halfling's heartrate between 140-150, was being a bit of a monkey and not wanting to be monitored, blood pressure up again (152/76), adjusted hbp meds to 100 mg 3x a day.
April 24, 2012 - 36 wks, NST & Dr. W, Halfling's heartrate between 170-180 and VERY active, blood pressure too high (145/67), adjusted hbp meds to 100mg 2x a day.
April 18, 2012 - 35 wks, consult with anesthesiologist - discussed what to do about insulin for night before surgery
April 15, 2012 - 34 wks, NST & Dr. W, Halfling's heartrate in upper 150s, bp 132/69
April 11, 2012 - 34 wks, Everything looks good, confirm c-section for May 10
March 30, 2012 - 32 wks, blood pressure is just fine, Halfling is breech
March 19, 2012 - 31 wks, NST, heartrate 142bpm, blood pressure a little high
March 7, 2012 - 29 wks, ultrasound, heartrate 143bpm, placenta previa? inconclusive (AGAIN!)
February 24, 2012 - 27 wks, appt with Dr. W, blood pressure good (yay!), C-section confirmed for May 10th, bloodwork showed low iron, possible kidney infection
February 7, 2012 - 25 wks, first appointment with Dr. W (new OB), plan c-section for May 10-15, 145 bpm, lower HBP meds to 50mg 3x a day, new heartburn meds
January 12, 2012 - 21 wks, find out that u/s showed a low lying placenta, 153bpm
January 5, 2012 - 20 Week ultrasound shows a healthy 13oz (approx) wee one, sucking his/her thumb
December 2012 - 17 wks, end up in ER with stomach flu/dehydration
December 2012 - 17 wks, maternal screen test results botched, 155bpm
December 2012 - 16 wks, blood work for maternal screen (genetic testing)
November 14, 2011 - 13 wks, NT scan in the Big City Down South, inconclusive
November 3, 2011 - dx with a kidney infection, possibly kidney stones
October 5, 2011 - u/s showed a strong heartbeat, 141bpm
September 27, 2011 - beta 3215, begin insulin, increase HPB meds to 100mg 3x a day
September 20, 2011 - beta 442, blood glucose too high
September 13, 2011 - beta 34, rx progesteron 200mg 2x a day
September 11, 2011 - BFP!!!

April-July 2011 - TTC Break while we work on our finances

November 27/10 - Ginevra born via c-secion at 8:42pm

November 9/10 - 37 wks, induction planned for November 25th
October 28/10 - 34 wks, U/S shows Halfling between 75th & 90th percentile
October 26/10 - 34 wks, begin weekly NSTs
October 4/10 - 32 wks, U/S shows Halfling above 90th percentile
October 2/10 - 31 wks, on mat leave!
August 25/10 - 26 wks, rx two types of insulin to control GD
August 11/10 - 24 wks, dx with Gestational Diabetes, attempt to control with diet
June 30/10 - 18 wks, dx with Pregnancy Induced Hypertension, rx 50mg Lobetalol 3x/day
May 28/10 - 14 wks, Nuchal Translucency Scan 1.5mm, heartrate 144bpm
April 20/10 - 8wk U/S, saw heartbeat! 171 bpm
March 29/10 - beta 1300!!
March 26/10 - beta 269, rx 200mg prometrium twice daily
March 10/10 - a hopeful BFP
Sept 09 - Feb 10 - BFN
September 09 - NYC & trying again
June-Sept 09 - TTC break
June 09 - probable chemical pregnancy, hysteroscopy to remove polyp
April 09 - HSG shows a slightly septate uterus and and endometrial polyp
Jan 09 - dx w/ blighted ovum, m/c naturally, Olivia Noelle
Dec 08 - BFP!!!
Oct 08 - trying again
Sept 08 - dx w/ blighted ovum, d&c, Emily Hope
July 08 - BFP!!!
April 08 - start tracking bbt/cm etc.

While I might not be a hobbit genetically, I do believe that I am one culturally. A homebody at heart, with a fear of (but slight craving for) adventure, who values simple things like good food, good books, and good friends. Chronicling the journey of the unlikely pairing of a Hobbit and an Ent, who have travelled down the road through infertility & RPL, toward building our family. We've come a long way, and now with two precious wee-lings in tow, our road goes ever on and on...
