Good evening Humble Readers...
Just a quick post to vent...
We knew we were going to be replacing our furnace this summer. We put it off as long as we could, but it has to be installed, next week. $2500
Then the oven died. Don't get me wrong, I love my new stove, but we certainly could have done without that expense right now. $775 (and I got a good deal... I promise I'll tell you about it tomorrow)
Today, the kitchen faucet started leaking ... again. This time it's serious. It looks like we'll be spending $300 on a new faucet and installation (because we are both inept at anything plumbing related).
Have I mentioned that I'm just a bit stressed?
Being a grown up sucks!
While I might not be a hobbit genetically, I do believe that I am one culturally. A homebody at heart, with a fear of (but slight craving for) adventure, who values simple things like good food, good books, and good friends. Chronicling the journey of the unlikely pairing of a Hobbit and an Ent, who have travelled down the road through infertility & RPL, toward building our family. We've come a long way, and now with two precious wee-lings in tow, our road goes ever on and on...

That sucks hon. Since tradition says bad things happen in threes, you should be done for a while.
ReplyDeleteAppliances blow! Seriously. We want a new fridge so badly, but as renters??? Ugh. Good luck sweetie.
ReplyDeleteMrs G - if I lived anywhere close to you, I'd come fix your kitchen faucet. I'm pretty handy around the plumbing!
ReplyDeleteAnd my word verification: fangster. totally love it!
Eeek! That is stressful! Trust me, I know how you feel - buying a new house is $$$ especially when it needs a new roof and a furnace too. At least we'll be toasty?!
ReplyDeleteIt comes in threes, so you should be good to go after the faucet. :o)
ReplyDeletewe had to replace our furnace the winter after we moved in. Big suckage there! Also have had to deal with a new refrigerator and new plumbing under the sink, but luckily the hubby could take care of the plumbing. Phew! Hope things turn around.p
