Hobbit-ish Thoughts and Ramblings

While I might not be a hobbit genetically, I do believe that I am one culturally. A homebody at heart, with a fear of (but slight craving for) adventure, who values simple things like good food, good books, and good friends. Chronicling the journey of the unlikely pairing of a Hobbit and an Ent, who have travelled down the road through infertility & RPL, toward building our family. We've come a long way, and now with two precious wee-lings in tow, our road goes ever on and on...

If Only I Believed in Karma...

Just over a week ago I got the H1N1 vaccine.

5 and a half hours waiting in line for the shot.

Being 2 hours late for work.

Spending a week dealing with minor reactions to the shot.

Being mocked by friends and family as being a hypocondriac.

Waking up this morning with a sore throat and stuffed sinuses... and knowing it's just a cold.

Priceless!

There are some things that cures can buy, for everything else there is 'prevention'!

I can't top Wiseguy's usual razor sharp wit, but I will say that I am so glad you got it and I hope your beloved is doing fine. Now go eat some chicken soup!

Hope you feel better soon! I'm with you on the peace of mind. Got my flu shot on Thursday. Now just the seasonal shot this week.
