April ICLW

I cannot believe it's been a month already! Wow!

Ok... so a quick recap for folks who have never stopped by before:
  • Married my beloved in April of 07 after having been matched on eHarm.ony (I think we'd be great in their commercials!)
  • Went off bcp in January of 08 after having been on them for just over a year. Joke that I'll be pregnant in a matter of weeks because all the women in my family are 'just that fertile'.
  • Get our first bfp in July 08 and are over the moon happy.
  • Diagnosed with a blighted ovum at 10 weeks. Have a D&C.
  • Try again.
  • Blessed with our second bfp in December of 08. Excited, but reserved.
  • Diagnosed with blighted ovum at 8 weeks. M/C'd natually at 11 weeks.
  • Had an HSG after two cycles (this month). All seems well, except for a teeny spot that is either scar tissue or a polyp. Doctor does not seem concerned and we are given the green light to try again.
  • Currently in the wretched tww, and phantom symptoms are driving me nuts! Not holding out a ton of hope tho for this cycle.
I know that my story isn't as long as some, but it feels like we've been at this for a really long time already.

Thanks for stopping by... and I promise I have some recipes planned to share (I still have yet to post my Easter dinner recipes). Wishing you a blessed day, humble readers!

  1. I didn't know the eharmony thing...good for you :)
    Happy ICLW!

  2. I thought I'd get pregnant on our honeymoon because my family was "just that fertile." That was 3 years ago! Happy ICLW!

  3. I'm learning that it doesn't matter how long your story is ... IF is still a hard place to be. I wonder and worry a lot about how this process has changed me, and how much it will continue to do so if it drags on for months or years. Sorry to be negative. It's great that you've been able to conceive twice, I don't know much about blighted ovums or what causes it, but I wish you much luck for your next tries (especially the end of this current 2ww!)

Also, I'm really impressed by your reading list.

And I'm SURE you already know about this website, but I thought you'd be interested ...

  4. I'll hold out hope for you, then. :) Yay recipies! I am a crappy cook but have been having luck with allrecipies.com and been dying to try new stuff. Will stop back by soon!

  5. I know SO MANY happy couples who met on the internet - it's amazing!

It may be a higher power who created a mate for every soul, but more and more its the Internet that brings them together. Now it doesn't matter that you're in Rome and he's in Timbuktu - you've got a way to find him! :o)

  6. Happy ICLW! Good luck to you in your 2ww, I hope it goes by quickly.

  7. Good luck in your 2ww!

Based on your description of hobbits I am most definitely one...have known that for a while. As for your URL: I'll have to fight you for that name...I LOVE Sam-wise!!

  8. I know another couple who met on eharmony and married. It doesn't matter how long you have been TTC. Infertility sucks.

  9. Hoping for a happy ending to you TWW!!!

  10. Hoping your TWW has a wonderfully happy ending.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. !5 in one day is great. That's usually what I average. However, I am going to have 3 days that I won't be able to post much if at all and I'm just insane enough to try and make up for that.

  11. hope you are still surviving the tww-- hopefully you'll have some good news to share soon.

also, can't wait to see your recipes, i'm totally in a culinary rut!

Hobbits are social creatures, and love hearing from friends old and new. Pull up a comfy chair and let's get to know one another.
