Who Am I?

Good Afternoon Humble Readers...

Kristin, over at the Dragondreamer's Lair had a wonderful post today about defining who we are outside the tunnel vision of infertility.  I highly recommend you pop over and read her list of who she is... after you are done reading mine of course! ;)

I am:
  • a wife (for 3 years, with my Beloved for 4)
  • a mother-to-be... come November
  • a mother to two angel babies (Emily Hope and Olivia Noelle)
  • a daughter/granddaughter, sister, aunt (in many forms - step, foster, bio, in-law)
  • an infertile
  • a bookseller
  • a book-lover
  • a wanna-be amateur photographer
  • a daydreamer
  • a lousy housekeeper
  • a pretty darn good cook
  • a Believer, of the Lutheran persuasion
  • a junkie
  • a self-proclaimed sci-fi/fantasy geek
  • a fairly decent cross-stitcher (when I focus)
  • a dyslexic
  • an unpublished author
  • a nag (not one of my better traits)
  • a procrastinator
  • an ornithophobe
  • a cry baby (tv, movies, books, sappy commercials)
  • a dog-lover
  • a school-supply addict
  • a friend
Now, who are you?

  1. you are pretty cool! i might do this little activity soon, too!

many congratulations on hearing a heartbeat! i hope that one day i will be so lucky. revel in it, sweets!

  2. I'm a pretty decent cross-stitcher too! I love it, it's relaxing.

  4. i am...

    - a cry baby too (esp when it's about cats in distress)

    - also a lousy housekeeper

    - a worrier

    - hooked on twitter

    Congratulations!! xox

  5. Great list! I think I'll use it for my ICLW post tomorrow!

And YAY for heartbeats and u/s!

    Thanks for the comment.

  6. Oh Kristin is so amazing, I am going over now.
I am a loser, a mommy to be, God Willing and an awesome cook too.

Oh congrats on seeing your heartbeat, isn't it THE most amazzing thing ever? So happy for you!

    Happy iclw girl.

  7. Hi, I actually put a list over there on Dragondreamer's Lair also (well, paragraph style). I love this exercise also because it just goes to show us how much of ourselves we totally forget about while we're dealing with whatever pains us. My issues were always depression and mother (oh, how classic) and I literally lost years and years and YEARS focusing on that.

There are so MANY great things about you! I love that you say "Lousy housekeeper" like it's something to be proud of. I've come to terms with that one, too! Photographer (whatever the status), author (whatever the status), FRIEND - these are all things to be so proud of!

  8. I'm some of those and some not. Congrats for November! Great blog, can't wait to read more. I'm your newest follower from IComLeavWe.

  9. love your little list, it's good to get to know you again!

  10. we have a lot of things in common on your list! haha. I am a wife, an infertile, book-lover, lousy housekeeper, good cook, DYSLEXIC, dog lover. I love your blog and congrats on your BFP and Ultrasound!!! =)

  11. Its so hard to know who I am outside of IF and loss and now pregnancy. I hope once baby is here I will better remember again. this is a good exercise though!

  12. You are a great wealth of many things. The thing I am most excited about is the mother-to-be! Congrats! That is such wonderful news. :D I am so happy for you.

  13. I love this post...and congrats on the pregnancy. Thanks for stopping by my little blog this week...will continue to follow you on your journey.

  14. Love this! I read Kristin's also. I feel like I have a little glimpse of who you are. I also like to cross stitch, though it's been a while.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. ICLW

  15. Oh, and I also miss checking in with you regularly since the end of S&T.

  16. Congrats again on the pregnancy!!!

  17. Mazel tov on being a mom soon! I am... a fellow blogger, hopefully an Iron Commenter, an advocate for IF research and awareness, a video gamer, a wife, a sister, a daughter and one day I hope to be a mom.

    Happy ICLW!
