It appears, humble readers, that winter is not willing to release us on the flatland just yet. Today we had snow... SNOW! It didn't stick and it has stopped now, but it was still the 'white poop' as my mother calls it.
Tomorrow is predicted to be very chilly... below freezing again. The poor trees don't know what to do. Yesterday it was beautiful... a day for flip-flops, capris and t-shirts. Today I pulled out that sweater that I'm just sick of, but it's warm... *sigh*
Winter can't last forever, can it?
While I might not be a hobbit genetically, I do believe that I am one culturally. A homebody at heart, with a fear of (but slight craving for) adventure, who values simple things like good food, good books, and good friends. Chronicling the journey of the unlikely pairing of a Hobbit and an Ent, who have travelled down the road through infertility & RPL, toward building our family. We've come a long way, and now with two precious wee-lings in tow, our road goes ever on and on...
It better not last forever! We had 2 beautiful "sitting outside and get a sunburn" days and then today was a bit chilly. I can't wait to start complaining about it being TOO hot ;o)

I asked the Florida sunshine to drift up your way. :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be lasting forever here too. Ugh
ReplyDeleteI won't tell you that it is supposed to be 80 tomorrow here in Alabama.
ReplyDelete*oops* I guess I just did! (ha-ha)
That's okay, you can rub in the nice weather there when I'm still MELTING in October.
ICLW
Ok... so I just took a look outside (I've been lost in ICLW land for the last couple of hours) and it is a full on spring blizzard out there! Gross!
ReplyDeleteugggggh Hurry up spring ..SUMMER even better!
ReplyDeleteICLW
I keep asking myself that same question! It feels like the crappy weather has just gone on forever. I'm ready for summer!
ReplyDeleteUsually the weather you have out west makes it way to Ontario :-(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up:-)
I don't think winter can last forever...but then again, what do I know?! As a kid growing up in upstate NY, we used to turn on this sunlamp my mom had and put our faces near it - usually around the middle of February - just to remind ourselves what heat felt like!
ReplyDeleteHere's wishing you sunshine and tulips!
"ICLW"
I hope it turns springtime for you soon. I mean for longer than just a day. We are just now getting consistently warm weather.
