Breasts on med-high might need 15 or so minutes on one side, where as a drumstick will probably be closer to 5-8 per side. I prefer soaking in buttermilk, then dipping in seasoned flour. It's really much easier than it may seem from the outset. The two biggest opps's I've made are having the heat high, and not using the right amount of oil. Let us know how it turns out!

Yerger Burgers sound so yum, I'm totally going to try that this week.Mintahttp://lifefamilysanity.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2203689317346533866.post-91993650858854626782010-02-02T01:14:41.681-07:002010-02-02T01:14:41.681-07:00I don't understand the Duggars either, but I&#...I don't understand the Duggars either, but I've got to say: if given the choice between infertility or 19 kids... I'd trade places with them in a heartbeat. They do seem to have SO much love. I'm definitely a little envious.S.I.F.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15037271343194689612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2203689317346533866.post-53152843448164706482010-02-01T15:42:45.786-07:002010-02-01T15:42:45.786-07:00Kudos to you for frying chicken! We do the buttermilk thing, make sure to season the flour well, keep the oil at a consistent temp and only turn it one time...but I have been doing it FOREVER (it's a southern thing I think to teach your daughters to fry chicken as soon as they can walk ;p). I don't time it, I just know what color it should be, etc...and if you do it often enough, you'll get that way, too. If you're nervous about it, use a meat thermometer to check your temps. I hope it turns out GREAT. Good luck and enjoy!:)Kellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15049992666664283399noreply@blogger.com
