My dad read them to me, a chapter a night, when I was a little girl. And yes, I've always loved Eowyn. Though Pippin (both Tolkien's and Dickens') have always remained two of my favourite literary characters of all time.

Love all the wonderful blogs and people the A to Z challenge is connecting me to. So many great stories I'd never have heard otherwise... from one self-identified Hobbit-folk to another. ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2203689317346533866.post-42072675809443403312012-04-06T08:43:10.496-06:002012-04-06T08:43:10.496-06:00YAY!!! I love her courage and bravery in a world of men and then loved her and faramir together! And I love that hobbit 2.0 might be named after her. (how adorable is wynnie??) this almost settles the girl vibe for me!Good Timinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02057857436371668151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2203689317346533866.post-60478403768561634972012-04-05T21:28:22.333-06:002012-04-05T21:28:22.333-06:00One of the strongest and most magnificent female c...One of the strongest and most magnificent female characters I've encountered is Lessa of Pern from Anne McCaffrey's Dragonrider's of Pern series. She's strong. She's heroic. She risks everything to save her world. And, to top it off, she rides a gold dragon.Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10791317184998122691noreply@blogger.com
