I'm on insulin didn't want to be but for me the finger pokes for blood tests are worse than the shots. Just remember to keep your body lotioned up and drink as much water as you can. Diabetes runs in my family so I know there is a very high chance that sometime I will end up with it - especially if I ever get pregnant. GD is similar to ...Sweetie, do NOT blame yourself. GD is similar to regular diabetes in that some people can control it with diet alone and so people can't. It's all tied in to the mechanics of the disease and whether you have a difficult to control case or not.
